I did not realize how badass Link looked in this outfit until now...

I’m so happy Avdol is alive! I never even CONSIDERED that he would be alive by this point. It was a little bit...odd how he died, I was a little suspicious but he was gone for so long, I just assumed it was a legit death. So this is a legit awesome surprise.

There are many things I like about the Majin Buu arc but the awkward failures of Gohan is not really one of them. He is the Apollo Justice of DBZ, he was supposed to be the new hero, but the original one came back to replace him when fans rejected it.

The neverending childish attitude of Gotenks and Buu is a joy. I know DBZ spent years trying to go in a more serious direction (even before DBZ to some degree), and that’s probably it’s most successful run (and thus one of the most successful runs of literally any anime/manga series ever created). 

But to me, this absurd battle with constantly goofy and childish attacks is at least as important to the spirit of Dragonball. It’s why I’m glad DBZ originally ended with this arc instead of Frieza or Cell, it’s a more fitting finale for the series as a whole.

For better or worse, this arc has some of the craziest twists of the series. “Buu’s evil is personified and then literally blows away his chocolate attack so pink Buu is turned to chocolate. Gray Buu eats him and transforms.” And kids, we ain’t done yet!

And as a write this, he turned himself liquid-y and entered a guy’s mouth to explode him from the inside.
