                 sapphire hues look in AWE at the cute moss ball (more specifically, a marimo) in the tank before him. it was so tiny and cute! shoichi always had that CHILDISH vibe toward him, but now it seems more VIBRANT with his palms lightly pressed against the tank, an excited grin pulling at his lips. still, its nice (reliving, even) to finally see him like this again.

                  “ko-kouta-senpai! look over here! ... t-there so cute and little .. ”

Carefully, he places a flower crown upon the smaller's head. Then he leans down, pressing a chaste kiss to Yukio's forehead, faintest hint of a smile on his features.

Yukio flushes, ducking his head down after the kiss, hands coming up to gently touch the flower crown. He feels warmth rise in his chest.

“ ... Thanks. “

            “ah, k-kouta-senpai!---” says the startled pinch server at the taller, dropping the broom-mop he was holding. shoichi thought he was alone, he was staying behind to clean up after them (as part of his punishment.) but was doing even more work than what was actual assigned. quickly he goes to pick up the broom, looking back at the other. 

          “s-sorry, i’m HAPPY to see you -- just didn’t expect anyone else to be here.” lips curve into a shy smile.

✘ ✘ ✘  i think i always knew. and you like yuki-chan, too. 

                and if they want to completely destroy whatever it is, maybe hiro should say he wonders if he only noticed at all because he’d been calling it an EXPERIMENT OF SORTS. maybe he isn’t the only one who can walk into a room full of people and immediately notice junichi -- and his results show that kouta is another EXCEPTION to the rule ( no, it’s just them ). it’s the exception that makes the rule, of course, and that’s how hiro even knows, even if he’s never admitted it to himself until now. but perhaps he shouldn’t be surprised. at the best of times, he and kouta are MIRRORS -- opposites structured around the same concept.          

                and this is wanton destruction -- a child pulling at a loose yarn only to be left with a gordian knot that used to have shape. he should stop, but sometimes, sometimes --
