Y’know I would say that covering all my mirrors would help, but apparently when I just think of what I look like it still has the same effect. This is just so fun. Love it.

DROWN IN RED ~ a 3rd life Salt Raiders AU
He wrenches an arrow free from his shoulder, and laughs. It's a cruel sound, harsh and grating, and he knows that if he were to speak his voice would be just as sharp. He lurches towards his target, or it could be anyone really, he doesn't know who he's attacking anymore.
The crimson haze that has settled over his mind is twice as alluring as the darkness crawling into the edges of his vision, and he raises an axe, the weapon large and intimidating, and the iron stained with dried blood.
Then he swings.
He hears the sharp crack of bones shattering under his attack, and he can almost feel the flesh ripping away from the cut he's dealt. He yanks the axe out of his victim, and if he were a better man he'd throw up at the sickening squelch. But he isn't a better man, so he swings again.
His arms ache from swinging his heavy axe around for hours on end, and his legs shake from hours of endless running and chasing and fleeing. Still, he'll hit and run again until his body gives out, and maybe then he'll lay down and die.
He yanks his axe back, one final time, and steps back. He focuses his gaze on the moon to try and encourage his swimming vision to settle, and when he looks down, he's certain that he's a bad man.
How had this gone from fighting for their lives against mobs and other creatures that no sane man would want to face to fighting for their lives against their friends?
Laying beneath him, sprawled out and twisted almost beyond recognition, is the fresh corpse of his closest friend and former ally.
The red haze fades, and he knows that the newfound clarity will only last a few minutes at best, but he takes the time to press himself close to the ground, curl his arms around his friend's broken body, and weep.
He waits until the red life bloodlust comes to take him back, drawing him back into the rage and the war, and he stands up again.
He wields his axe again and takes off north, towards the sounds of battle, of metal clashing and the thuds of arrows hitting shields or flesh or flying off into the surroundings.
He only ever looks back once.

I do actually think PJSK saved my life at one point
The problem with deep diving into your trauma and dealing with your issues is that you have to feel all the feelings. Which is, quite frankly, a lot and I don't always have time for that.

hi tumblr im scared to use his name, let alone a nickname
Just as a General FYI, if you’ve got a problem and it involves me, please talk to me about it!! I know moods can be weird and issues can be had but I’d like to work it out with you as opposed to not communicating at all
