Its been close to 30 years since my uncle passed away from the effects of #aids . This was his 1978 #Alvarez #12string . It was put away for years until a.former customer of mine volunteered to clean it up and restring it for me. The top is pulling from the frame, so he put on a set of @elixir_strings. And tuned it down a full step. It has been over ten years, and I decided to put on a set of @ernieball 12 string #slinkys . I am a bass player with fat fingers, so I have an issue fretting guitar chords. These have been modified. I am finding the Slinkys to be quieter than the Elixirs, but that could be my hearing. Also, I am having as issue with G octave string, the tension doesnt feel right.
