The world needs to evaluate a lot of things before call a government a dictatorship, for me, it was years ago when I realized that; when I stepped the public university and saw a party flag, when I had to whisper to my friend about all the government party propaganda in the classrooms, and many other things; it was a couple years a ago when retired people where beaten because of a protest for better healthcare, it was when the president decided he was going to modify (without consulting) the constitution to be reelected, it was when i heard about farmers murdered by the army because they refused to sell their land, it was when government decided, again without consulting, it was good to sell our sovereignty to another country in order to destroy ours and create and environmental disaster. Sometimes people try to look away, live under their ignorance, pretend everything it’s ok, then, we reach this point where reality can’t be denied anymore and you just can’t look away anymore. Sadly it took more than 500 human lives, thousands of exiled and wounded and unknown amount of murdered ones and political prisoners for not only the world but also many Nicaraguans to realize we where under this monstrosity of dictatorship.
