so, you know when you're juggling an autograph book, and a camera, and a sharpie, and your phone, it can do that annoying thing where it swipes itself from photo to video...? and you only notice as some gorgeous Swede takes your phone from you...?

- Reads fic description "Dean writing letters to his deceased brother." - Decides not to spend next two hours sobbing uncontrollably and cursing the author. - Does not click on link. If you want to, have at it: http://ift.tt/26bwedA
I’ve been on tumblr, I dunno, maybe four years or so. And I just got my first hostile anonymous message! Finally - I feel like I’m starting to fit in....
Hey - I got two new followers this week!! Hi you! Luckily I must've also lost a couple, cos I'm still on 69, which is juuuust fine with me ;-)
Yesterday I heard the story of someone who once bunked off school for the day, then discovered her dad had the day off work, so she spent the entire day hiding behind the sofa. This made me laugh til I cried.
I just had the thought "I wonder what else is happening on tumblr - maybe I should check my dash.." Then I realised I wasn't actually in the VegasCon tag. It's just all VegasCon!
Know what? If tumblr isn't awash with Coriolanus/Aufidius fic by the weekend, I shall feel terribly let down ;-)
Listening to a news report on my drive home about Oscar noms, I had two questions pop in my head... 1) Why is 'Gravity' classified as sci-fi? To me that implies (as yet) fictional science/locations/races. Sonic screwdrivers, ice planets and pointy-eared aliens. Not humans in the ISS and a Soyuz capsule. I've touched an actual Soyuz capsule. That wasn't fictional. Any more than the hotel rooms in 'American Hustle' or the container ship in 'Captain Phillips'. 2) "'12 Years a Slave could become the first film dealing with slavery to win Best Picture since 'Gone With the Wind'." Now please - I love GWTW, but in what way could it possibly be described as 'dealing with' slavery?! Depicting as an accepted (acceptable?) fact, yes. Dealing with? Not so much...
