Yes, thank you for noticing we're both dorks~ We're also both huge nerds! He's into mechanics, I'm into animals... But we can both enthuse about biomechanics! That's just a fun fact.

We do some silly antics... Namely, our inside jokes/bits. You know how a mustang is both a horse and a car? Well, what if other breeds/brands shared a name? For a lot of horse breeds we have a car brand associated, and vice versa. This helped me recognize cars and him recognize horses... Sometimes. Also, catch us at the fairgrounds yelling "LOOK, A JAQUAR" but it's just an akhal-teke. And at the car show, "OMG, A PERCHERON" but it's some truck.

(Also my SI knows more about cars than me and I don't actually wanna do research now but heck maybe I will later cuz of this)

see ok this is a tricky question because usually we don’t “go” on dates as much as just stay in and hang out inside. ok maybe it’s not like, a bonding ACTIVITY by virtue of not being very active but you try to tell us that while we’re laying on the floor together drenched in sweat after 10 rounds of wii sports.

god, does it even count as a date if we don’t actually leave the house? at that point wouldn’t just living together be one constant never ending date (until such time that we go to work)? i mean, it is called “dating” even if you don’t actually go “on dates” very often... maybe i’m just trying to cover up for the fact that actually going places is a little inconvenient when neither of us knows how to drive or owns a car. i mean, we can drive in racing games but that hardly translates into actual road experience (or a license).

okay none of this is even probably a satisfactory answer but i’m at the third paragraph at this point and like- i swear we go on ACTUAL dates, they’re just so rare that like, we might as well count Playing Video Games Together as a date. and at the end of the day, is there any advantage to going out to the arcade to play games for money, instead of staying inside to play games for free? we can just go buy snacks at the grocery store together and call that a date.
