ARC readers wanted - Dark fantasy
I’m looking for a small number of ARC readers for my upcoming dark fantasy novel.
It’s a slowburn, character-driven story set in a guarded carnival that promises safety — and quietly decides what that safety costs. The focus is on atmosphere, power dynamics, and morally complicated characters rather than action-heavy plot.
Action absolutely does exist, but the main drive is on characters and their dynamics.
You might enjoy this if you like: Gothic or atmospheric fantasy Humor, without undercutting tension Character driven stories with no cliches Unsettling women / female antagonists Quiet dread over spectacle Found family with sharp edges
If you're interested, I can first send few chapters of my story, so you get the feel and style of it.
What I’m asking: Read an advance copy (digital)
Consider leaving an honest review on Goodreads and/or Amazon after release. (no obligation to review if it’s not your thing)
If you’re interested, please: Send me a comment or DM. Please like and reblog if possible.
Thank you for reading — and thank you for supporting indie authors. 🖤
I have a Patreon!
I am now working on an original novel project. Realm of Sorcerers: Fates' Champion is a New Adult fantasy with an eventual enemies-to-lovers subplot. It features a light vs dark magic system, a magic school, and a main character I absolutely adore.
I share unedited draft scenes on my Patreon, for anyone who wants to follow and support me on this journey. Anything the Patreon pulls in will go toward advertising when it's time to self publish next fall.
The beautiful banner you see here is by Comics by Cass!
It's up!!!
The first draft chapter of my original project, Realm of Sorcerers: Fates' Champion is now up on my Patreon!
Excerpt from Carnival
Oscar hopped off the stage. “So… what did you come here to tell me?”
“Okay, well…” Jasper glanced nervously around the tent. “So… I don’t want you to make a big deal out of this, but...”
Oscar’s brows dropped in frustrated impatience. He waved his hand in a tight circle, wordlessly urging Jasper to get on with it.
“I might need help with the supplies tomorrow.”
Oscar shook his head and turned away. That was the big request? The most tedious task he did every single week.
Jasper cleared his throat. “…In town.”
Oscar spun back around, his expression overtaken by equal parts shock and delight. Before he could get a single word out, Jasper tilted his head slightly.
“Don’t make a big deal out of this.”
Oscar’s eyes went round as the moon. He shook his head quickly, fighting to keep a straight face.
“No. Of course not. I mean...” He shrugged. “What would there even be to make a big deal out of?”
“Tomorrow. After work,” Jasper emphasized, already turning away. As he headed toward the exit, he heard a light shuffle behind him. “And stop doing that happy dance. It makes me uncomfortable.”
The shuffling stopped.
