Some #slowcamera spreads of tonight: So today I drove 3 hours to Virginia Beach to catch @jidsv and @sabapivot on tour together at @elevation27vb . I’ve had the pleasure of drawing both of these incredible performers before, catching Saba’s #careforme tour stop in Portland, and J.i.d. was so kind to talk to me briefly and sign my sketchbook after the #macmillertribute show in LA. The energy of this entire concert was just amazing! @kingmez and @jandreamos started up the show strong and then @mereba just came in and killed it with guitar, vocals, and 🔥 bars (I’m sorry backup guitarist, I didn’t catch your name). Saba then proceeded to just rile up the crowd into an enthusiastic frenzy (as he does) and J.i.d. headlined into one of the wildest mosh filled nights I’ve experienced in many years. Virginia Beach, you go HARD, and I have some thin layers of other people’s sweat auras and one trampled ankle, and my still ringing ears to prove it🙈 Thanks @frshwaters for meeting up with me afterwards and allowing me to decompress in some fresh air. 🥰 And to the sweet photographer who stood next to me in the pit, I hope let’s be friends if you see this! I appreciated the hell out of how respectful you are of concert etiquette and I hope I didn’t creep you out with my crowd drawing 🙊 Now for bed. Traveling the distance for this concert has inspired me to give myself a beach day tomorrow before heading back to Charlottesville 🏝 thank you to everyone who worked so hard to put on such a goddamn brilliant performance! I rarely leave the house and crowds give me anxiety, but live shows are so 🔥🔥🔥 If you can get a hold of a ticket for this tour, absolutely go.
