I'm keeping myself accoutable (and selflishly hoping for hype) as I forge ahead with my Addam and Rhaenys scene:
Addam shook his head but said nothing. He stared back at her. He didn’t want her thanks. She should not be indebted to him. It wasn’t done for her, only his own survival. The Lord of the Tides had never claimed them. It must’ve been for a reason. Yet Rhaenys gave him a soft smile and Addam felt like he was looking at the first warmth of the sun. Rhaenys felt like something was stuck in her throat: corrosive bile from her ‘thank you’ or it was the word ‘father’ lodged in her gullet. She did not care to examine.
