It’s no problem you just don’t mind me uploading this online do you?” She clicked through her camera, showing the person the photo of themselves. “I think it’s a good one!”

So far Holly had been preoccupied working the Milk stall, spending a couple of hours serving waffles and ice-cream sandwiches, infectious smile on their face. As much as they were enjoying mingling and handing out food, though, it hadn’t given them much of a chance to enjoy the festivities yet. Thankfully, now approaching one o’clock, they could finally grab a break and take a look around. First stop was one of the neighbouring stalls to grab something to drink (something new hopefully). They’d downed half of the cup when they spotted someone walking by they recognised and flashed a smile. “Hey!” they called out. “You want one of these? My treat!”

“Okay, look at these handcrafted hats, I used to love hats when I was younger. Hats and gloves actually, it was my thing,” he laughed at himself. “The colours are pretty cool though, they’re unique and well-made.” Joe smiled to himself, eyes glancing over them once more, a rare moment when he’d removed himself from the library, the university or his house, pulled out by the event to get some fresh air and to enjoy the excitement of the crowd.

“Do you think I could pull it off?” he joked.

WATER BALLOON FIGHT!

Residents of Silver Lake! The first annual (we hope!) water balloon fight is about to commence! The meadow has been filled with buckets of balloons (and somehow, they keep coming from somewhere! Like, there's an endless amount of balloons. Nature lovers everywhere are going to have a field day with this one! ) 

5pm has hit! The parade has passed through, the sun is still a million degrees and it's time to cool off down by the meadows. 

The reservoir has been fenced off with an incredible amount of safety precautions taken, so no swimming please! You’ll get dragged out by security and then probably arrested (and definitely fined, that $200 Chuck gave you isn’t going far!).  

Maybe your character is feeling the Greta effect and they grab a clipboard from the petition stand because that is a lot of plastic waste.

Or maybe, your character is of a more devious nature. We noticed some full buckets of paint left over from a nearby arts & crafts stall, and someone is using paint to fill their balloons. Oh no. Spells Trouble. Messy, colorful trouble. 

If you’re one of the more responsible members of the Silver Lake community, and you want to stick around the meadows for an hour (or three, depending on how many people volunteer) to help with clean-up, maybe we’ll be a step closer to getting this re-approved next year!

On your way out, don’t miss the ice cream van, where you can grab both a towel to dry off and a rainbow ice lolly! Additionally, don’t forget to drop your details off by the gate, we hear there’s a prize for one lucky participant! **

Glitter in her hair, pink butterfly motif on her face Korra was strutting through the pride street party stalls. She was drenched from head to toe, lucky to have her only day off on the day she could enjoy the water balloon fight. The brunette went up to the obstacle course cocking her head to one side, thinking of how fun would it be to try it out. She slurped her rainbow coloured milkshake, which the female improved slightly by adding some spirit form the water bottle in her backpack, it was a rare occasion to see her go anywhere without it nowadays. 

Korra felt someone standing next to her and after she saw them eyeing the course as well she turned and gave them a bright smile, “Wanna race?”

Art had always spoken to Bre... She wasn't the worlds best artist but she did love to appreciate the medium. She was decent at best and could pass a middle school art class with flying colors. However this was Pride, and there was chalk and free reign to create with the chalk on the street. Her time had come! She picked a spot that hadn't been doodled on and drew the first thing that came to her mind. Plants. She started drawing some succulents but with multi-colored leaves. In her own little world, one earbud in and she was half humming half singing a song as always.

Aarav patted his front pockets, then the back, then patted the front again. His face dropped into fear, eyes wide and mouth agape. He kept patting, reaching up around his back to fumble around the outer pocket on his backpack, then all along the bottom of it. Aarav spun on his heel, eyes now tracing the ground. 

“Oh shit,” he laughed, too drunk to clue into the seriousness of the situation at hand. Aarav lifted his head, focus not landing on anyone in particular. “Has anyone seen a set of house keys ‘nywhere? Silver? Bunch of ... keys? Little tag on ‘em. Blue thingy. I don’t know. Says Lewis on it,” he slurred, still turning in slow circles.

Going overboard on merch usually wasn't her thing. She was good with a shirt or like a goodie bag. But all the stuff Peachtree was selling seemed to speak to her. And she didn't even smoke that much! But there she was, buying some shirts and cute accessories, even a new bong. She definitely got some vape carts she was excited to try as well. Poor Sean, he looked on with his newly purchased vape as well while Mari scanned their inventory.
