Well, I struggle to give a shit, but as a leader of a democratic country, I promote and endorse whatever is most popular at this moment in time. Personally, though, I am very fond of ships. They're useful for the transportation of goods and people, and for an island nation, are quite important to our economy.
In regards to outdoor cats, my sister owns one called 'Happy', and like all cats, it has anger issues. This is probably due to being surrounded by idiots, and I sympathise with that. Some want all cats sent to Aoshima or another island populated by angry cats, but maybe the cats have good reason to be angry. I will look into canvassing the opinions of cats in Japan after the next election to see how we as a civilisation can improve ourselves.
