As she comes across a particular juicy piece of gossip, she laughs heartily, her gaze flitting momentarily from her screen to address her companion. “They have even come up with a ship name for the two of us. Angelo didn’t understand why his private life was anybody’s business but apparently his management team had other ideas.  The racer was fresh off his rookie season and it was clear he was a favorite amongst fans, bringing in a younger crowd to the sport.  Angelo figured he’d pose for a couple of gatorade ads and call it a day but he quickly learned that wasn’t going to be the case when his entire life was marketable.  

Which is exactly what led him to sitting across the table from his brand new girlfriend while cameras not to subtly took pictures of them across the street.  “So how bad did you piss off your management team to be stuck here with me?”  He teases.

         he’s meant to have started his day by now; always having been an early riser but it’s well past the hour that he takes a morning run and for some reason he can’t quite find it in himself to break away from the comfort that is having his body tucked around maleah’s perfect form. his nose gently nuzzles against her skin as his hands slowly wander without intent, though his touch might linger on the expanse of skin just above her panty line. finger tips dancing in a haphazard pattern there with memories. “i’m supposed to be training” lennox finally muttered, but god knows he’s needed her touch much more than he’s needed to maintain his discipline lately because when was the last time he’s been this relaxed and slept so well.

as the door opens, crystal is caught so off guard by the person on the other side of the door that her carefully worded request that she had rehearsed in her head completely disappears. she was expecting some annoying dudebro, not the cutest girl that she’s ever seen in her life! 

“hey,” crystal blurts out, blinking at her neighbor a couple of times. suddenly, her brain registers the loud music from inside the apartment and she tries to get back on track. “i live next door. and i can, uh, hear your music through the walls.” she swears she has more to say, like the fact that she has a headache and it’s way too much right now and also do you really have to keep doing this every night? but all she can do is stare at the other’s face with a slow churn in her stomach. “so, yeah.”

“I remember when this area used to be so beautiful...” she wasn’t entirely sure what they were doing, since Kele seemed keen on not giving her all the information, and she wasn’t too keen on forcing him into giving it to her, but the time away from the house together was something she welcomed with open arms. Being in this particular area, however, was bittersweet in a sense ... a fact perhaps evident in the sad smile she wore now as she looked around. There had to have been a fire here at one point, for the forestry was thin and bright with new growth, nearly hiding the blackened earth beneath it.
