New things on the horizon and all that...” Veronica nodded and nodded and nodded, beginning to resemble some kind of dashboard puppy if she carried on that way. It was obvious she was lying about something. Well, not lying per se, more like omitting some of the truth. She wasn’t fine, and there was nothing new on the horizon for her. Things were actually looking pretty bleak.

“okay well it sounds to me like you are definitely being little miss judgy, and i definitely want another drink.” cam’s nose scrunches at the others words. “i’m not trying to impress you, if i was i probably would have had less to drink and would be a little more concerned with keeping up appearances.”

“Okay, fine. Maybe I am, but I don’t wanna have to carry you to the car when we leave. Everyone always becomes a sloppy drunk when I volunteer to drive.” It was said with a light-hearted smile and a shrug before she took another sip of her own drink. “Mm, fair point,” Persie considered with a gentle bob of her head, “maybe I’m just speaking too much from experience instead of just living in the moment. Sorry about that.”

Lacey lit up with pride at Meghan’s response. She was hoping she was right in assuming it was something she’d want to see. “Yeah. I know it’s a little last minute. I only just got the tickets today. But, it’s supposed to be pretty cool. With some really talented new artists. And the drinks are on the house.”

“Eh, last minute is fine.” Meghan shrugged before nodding slowly, “I don’t have any plans tonight so you’re lucky.” A hint of a smile crossed her features, brows raising when she heard the words ‘drinks on the house’. “All right, now you’ve definitely got me interested. Free tickets and free drinks?” It sounded almost too good to be true but she wasn’t about to turn it down.

Lacey’s face lit up when Morgan asked her what she wanted. “So, I got tickets to an underground festival. And I was wondering if you wanted to come with.” 

Okay that did actually sound pretty cool. Meghan’s usual prickly determination to be difficult about everything was hard with a friend like Lacey. It was quite possible there was some softness in her, but she wouldn’t admit it. “An underground festival, huh? That sounds like it could be up my street actually. Tonight or...?”
