Oloroso is known for its oxidative maturation, which imparts aromas of walnuts, undergrowth, and leather. For SLYRS, this means that the often fruity and fresh character of the Bavarian malt takes on a masculine, earthy depth, making it significantly more complex than the standard bottling.

Cask type: American white oak, finished for up to nine months in Oloroso sherry casks from renowned bodegas in Jerez, Spain.

Slyrs is not just a whisky – it represents the bold idea of distilling a single malt whisky in Bavaria, inspired by the Scottish tradition. The name "Slyrs" was not chosen at random: it is the old Bavarian name for Schliersee, the home of the distillery.

The whisky is first matured in new American white oak barrels and then finished in former Oloroso sherry casks.

Its taste is full-bodied and complex, with a long, smooth finish. At 46% ABV, it is best enjoyed neat or slightly chilled to highlight the sherry notes.

Slyrs Whisky 12 year old is a special single malt whisky from Bavaria, Germany. It is produced by the Slyrs distillery, which was founded in 1999 and has since made a name for itself for high-quality whisky. The Slyrs 12 year old is made from Bavarian barley and distilled with pure Alpine spring water.
