This is our SMA04 manga. It couldn’t get any further than Award Nominee though. Hope we can do better in SMA05. ;)

Title: Warmth by Thursday’s child Studio 

Remark: Please read from left to right

Synopsis: For the past decades, the Nature Spirit haven’t met any human who could see him. Though some people still believe in him and come to pray and offering food to him from time to time, but the Nature Spirit still feel lonely. One rainy day, he met a young girl who not only could see him, but also offering him a gift he’d never receive before. The girl gave him ‘warmth’ in both physical and emotional way.

So, I made this short comic for the Silent Manga Audition around last september. The idea is to make a silent comic under a certain theme, in this case “a charming gift”. They’re more after your capacity of visual storytelling and transmission of emotions than plot originality or anything else.

I only discovered about it on the last week though and made everything in more or less 5 days, I was a bit surprised of even be able to make it in such short notice.

It’s definitely not my best (I can see so many serious flaws already), but I was happy to try and it felt a bit of a waste to let a ready comic on the drawer.

(Oh, and make sure to read from right to left. ^^)

I'm so glad I won the 2nd place in the international silent manga competition ❤️❤️^^ among the judges were the great artists behind Angel heart and Fist of the North Star I feel so honored ! SMA04 Final Results

The finals results are up! Big congrats to the Xian Nu Studio girls for getting a Grand Prix Runner Up Award!! Great story too, the award is well deserved. Roberto and I got  an Award Nomineed mention and it feels great we made it to the final 51 considering the quality of the other submissions.
