the best boy
I wanna disassociate
Nina couldn’t resist exploring just a LITTLE BIT...besides, someone mentioned something about fresh avocado out here somewhere... She’s definitely not dressed for the adventuring job. lol Besides, she’s lazy.
I only know how to speak English but growing up my parents would always speak Arabic or Aramaic around me but would never really teach me. My mom would usually call food in her native language and I never really knew that it wasn't English until I moved out on my own and would try to find that food only to realize I've been asking for it in a different language.
There's this seed I love to snack on from Iraq called Sissi. It's pretty hard to find here in Canada and if I do find it it's usually really expensive. My mom found a store selling it and got me a bag of the seeds. I want to try and find it locally so I asked a few friends that are really into plants to help me.
After a little search we finally found out that they're Gundelia Seeds. Now I need to find a place out here that sells them.
You and me against the city
The story doesn’t start in the mountains or oceans. It starts in the city — choking on schedules, glowing with screens, humming with lives that rarely touch.
For years, people walked past each other without ever meeting. Everyone was busy, but no one felt alive. Curiosity - that wild spark that once led us into forests, alleys, beaches, secret corners - was quiet. Almost forgotten.
But inside every person, something small kept tapping: There has to be more than this.
One evening — no one remembers exactly when — a few strangers slipped out of the city together. Nothing big. Just a small escape: a walk to a hidden lookout, a ride to a quiet beach, a sunrise on a hill where the city looked softer.
Something happened out there. Something simple, but powerful.
They talked. They breathed. They laughed like the city wasn’t listening. For a moment, life felt wide again.
And they realized: you don’t need a grand adventure to feel alive. You just need a small one — shared.
When they returned to the city, it felt different. Not fixed. Not perfect. But less in control of them.
Word spread quietly — friend to friend, message to message, glance to glance between people who felt the same ache.
Tiny escapes started popping up everywhere — sunrise biking crews, night hikes, waterfall Saturdays, rooftop stargazing, forest-café mornings, island runs, coffee-in-the-rain meetups.
Not escapes from life. Escapes into it.
They called themselves many things at first — explorers, wanderers, misfits, rebels — but one idea tied them together:
You and me against the city. Not to destroy it, but to stay human inside it.
And as the tribe grew, another instinct grew with it — the sense that every place they touched gave something to them, and deserved something back.
Nothing preachy. Nothing forced. Just acts of quiet respect:
packing out trash from beaches,
planting small things where roots could hold,
supporting local guides and tiny shops,
leaving trails better than they found them,
sharing stories that made others care.
Not to “save the world.” Just to not take more than they give.
Small adventures. Small actions. Big impact.
That was enough.
Today, Opentripper is the home of that movement — a digital fire circle built for people who feel too alive to live small. A place where strangers become escape partners, where routine cracks open easily, and where curiosity leads the way out.
This isn’t a platform. It’s a pact:
When the city gets too loud, we slip away. When the world feels heavy, we go lightly. When a place gives us a moment, we leave it better than we found it.
You and me against the city — and for the world that waits just outside it.
Welcome to the tribe. Small adventures. Big stories.
A few pictures I have taken over the past week!
1) I am quite sure that this is a bag worm, however I do not know the scientific name. I am not an entomologist, though if you are versed in bugs I’d love to know the name of this lovely bug!
2&3) These are simply some nice pictures of the area around me. Sunsets are quite nice, and I love how water reflects during that time.
Note: If you live in more southern states like me, you need to be cautious of snakes while it’s still this warm. Wear the appropriate footwear on adventures, and know the venomous snakes that are prevalent. Keep in mind; the snake is afraid as well! Do not handle a wild animal, do not attack the snake, simply back away and find another route!
