Bedside Altar for Lord Hypnos 🪽🌙☁️🧸😴💙🐑🥛
How it's going. I've given him Lindtt Dark Chocolate with Sea Salt and now Life Saver Collision Gummies. My little portable altar is cute (it's because I have no space anywhere for a permanent one)
I reorganized my alter space! I still need to get some touches for Lord Apollo and Lady Aphrodite, but I’m really happy with it so far!

Put together couple of traveling altars/offerings~
Away for spring break this week and still pretty new and definitely closeted in my practice.
So I put together a couple small traveling altars/offerings for Apollo and Artemis~
They’re very small but nice I think.
Bought some flowers as well for this week to add to the set up. Also to help with how barren my old room is now.
It really does feel comforting having them here with me in this space, one that hasn’t exactly been full of the fondest memories. Especially since I’ve noticed positive changes in myself since starting my practice.
Thats it for my ramblings for now, hope y’all have a good day/night~

My Altar: Altars In Small Spaces 🔮✨
This is my altar:
My living situation is very small, so my altar lives (happily) in the middle of my bookshelf.
The internet is filled with images of huge, beautiful altars, but an altar doesn't have to be particularly fancy or big to be special. The magic of an altar comes from the resonance you feel with the items on it, so size and aesthetics don't necessarily matter;
My friend has an altar on her windowsill, my other friend has a slightly bigger altar, also on top of her bookshelf.
Wherever there's an empty space, there's an opportunity!
Some small altar ideas:
🔮Shelf Altar: clear off a shelf. Depending on the size of the shelf, you may be able to display a wide range of altar items in varying sizes.
🔮Bedside Altar: devote a portion of your bedside table to use as a small altar, this works especially well with small items.
🔮Make a pocket or box shrine that you can keep by your side, or in your bedroom.
🔮Window Shrine: This one may only be useful for very small altars, but if your windowsill is wider/ deeper you can still get some good use out of it. Line your windowsill with special objects. If you have room, you can even try hanging a rosary or pendulum.
**Always be careful with fire, ESPECIALLY in small spaces. Don't leave candles burning in cramped spaces, and be careful with incense as well!**
*I refrain from using items associated with closed cultures, with the exception of the palo santo which was given to me as a freebie in a trade. *
Inspired by @zhegypsy, today's altar fits inside a matchbox:
- Matches
- Halved yellow birthday candle
- Penny
- Dried four-leaf clover
- Amethyst shard
- Grey thread for knot magic
I have these matchboxes that look like banned books and I plan on filling them with tiny altars when the matches run out
