Putting together a collection of found items to create a personal osteomancy set. All items that have called to me, that I've found in the world around me, and that can be returned to the earth if they don't feel right in use/come to the end of their time with me.
I plan to aim for and start with 13 items and see how that goes. A good witchy number, with the potential for lots of meanings and combinations.
If you love card divination as a whole, I seriously reccomend using a playing card deck, assigning your own associations to it, and pairing it with a tarot deck as a "companion deck". Likewise, you can also use it on it's own as a fun oracle deck with personalized meanings.
It's something new I've been playing around with and it's resulted in some mind blowing revelations in some of my card readings.
This homemade soy candle was created with the intention of protecting its user from sickness or illness. It can also serve to banish or cast out a sickness or illness. Scented with Mint & Lavender essential oils, and dressed with a blend of herbs including St. John's Wort, Angelica root, Rosemary, Coltsfoot, Lavender, and Eucalyptus. Charge with your intention and use at will. ~Blessed be!~

We all know about black salt, and there’s a ton of uses for it so making a fresh batch is something I find myself doing every six months or so. The first time I made my own some years ago I was struck with an idea!
Im a big fan of Color Magic and I use a lot of color in my charm making, sigil painting, candle burning and more! I decided as much as I had use for black salt; I certainly had use for every color of salt as well! So I bring to you: Colored Salt!
Here’s how I made mine and some ideas on how you might personalize making your own:
Collect sea salt or table salt (whichever you use or have access to) into multiple containers. I used little plastic condiment cups because I was worried about color staining. Some alternatives could include small glass mixing bowls, hair color bowls, mortar and pestle, styrofoam bowls etc. I did notice there wasn’t as big of an issue with staining and so next time I’ll probably just stick with the good ol’ marble mortar and pestle but it’s good to be safe and not use things you’re particularly attached to.
I put food coloring in the salt and mixed until none of the coloring was left on the container or spreading. You could use other things too! Natural dyes from plants like beet juice, flowers and so on, it’s really up to you! Basic color theory applies: Red and blue make purple, red and yellow make orange, blue and yellow make green and so on.
Put the salt into a sealable container and store for use! I found these little plastic bags at a craft store for like $2 and I have yet to run out! You can also of course use pouches and jars or anything else you like to keep around.
It’s really simple but it’s been so nice to have for things like sachets and spell jars especially. You can use this to fill poppets, you can use this method to color sand or rice. It’s also fair to note that you can add scents and oils to these, you can meditate and charge each color with crystals and specific energies and intent, the customization possibilities are endless!
I’d also like to include that this looks lovely mixed with small amounts of glitter and dried herbs 💕Hopefully this is useful to some and happy crafting!
