It’s poppy season!
In the middle of nowhere
Synnøve moved into her great-grandmother’s little home in Norway, with no set plan of how to renovate it. But, over the next 3 yrs., it slowly came together and now she is pleased when people say it feels like grandma’s house.
The tiny house getting a new roof. Today, it’s loaded with charm and personality.
Synnøve gave the hallway a little facelift by painting ceilings, walls and moldings. The vibrant door retained the colors that were originally painted in the 80s.
Unique furniture and a mix of both materials and colors create an inviting living room. Synnøve is an enthusiastic DIY’er.
The green cabinet has been painted with chalk paint and is used as a TV cabinet. A great way to hide the TV.
The ceiling lamp was made by Synnøve herself from an old washing dish and a pot, some hooks and a rusty chain. A friend welded and wired it for her.
The small house has a lovely dining room.
So pretty for the holidays.
The kitchen is so sweet.
Even the stairs going up to the bedroom are special.
In the bedroom, Synnøve removed both ceilings, walls and floors to bring out the original logs and the beautiful wooden floor. So pretty!

why do I have to do this socializing? why can't I just go and live in a small hut in the forest with my cat and have a little garden surrounded with pretty flowers and rabbits?
