She's not doing this ever again, Hal is enough of a handful as it is, and he refuses to sleep like a sane person;
The only thing that has even a remote chance of quieting him down is when she sings Little Stones, Big Stones to him until her voice is scratchy and even Sten feels compelled to join in;
The only thing that gives her peace afterward is lying in her kadan's arms, hearing the same song in a different voice.

Day 15
Today I am happy for creative motivation. And for the sweet new blog I'm reading that's inspiring me. I'm also happy for some web based adjustments I'm making. Personal stuff is going off tumblr to stationarydrifting.wordpress.com. I'm going to keep the tumblr account for pictures and reposting and whatever else it becomes but the point of the blog was to be off social networking and while I love tumblr it's not quite giving me what I need. SO that means this project is moving over too. If you feel like you simply must find out what's going on in my head click on over.
Day 14
Apparently I took a weekend break.
ANYWAY.
Today I am happy for a spontaneous call from my brother in cali. I miss his face so much as it was amazing to hear his voice for a minute. If I ever crawl out of the broke life I am SO getting on the next plane to see him. I love my family. Especially my brothers.
I'm also happy for a bit more work on this contract I'm doing. I'm happy that they are paying me so well and that I can look forward to paying off some bills (ah the adult life). Also that I get to work with such interesting and generally amazing people on this project. Its pretty inspiring.
I'm happy for making food out of what we have and whipping good things up.
I'm happy for community. For calling up people I haven't spoken to in a really long time and for connections, for everyone doing their own thing and the ways that that fits together into this great, mutually supportive puzzle.
day 13
day 13 - I was cranky today but there were still things to be happy about.
Like a friend's quiet apartment that I was able to (somewhat) successfully do several loads of laundry at. And where I almost finished a pretty dry article about Actor-Network Theory. I'm thankful for the lack of internet that made me able to concentrate on the dry article.
Mostly I'm happy for the nice times I spent with my friend's cat. Who loves me as much as i love her and who followed me around the house meowing and would jump up wherever I sat down to cuddle. I appreciate the uncomplicated love I get from that animal.
day 12
I didn't post this yesterday but I thought it so its not cheating.
Yesterday I was happy for a burst in concentration that got me up at 9:30 (early for me), I applied for a job, baked banana bread, did the dishes, worked through some contract work, responded to a bunch of emails, and spent some quality time with M.
