Coworking Spaces Are Gaining Popularity

More than 160,000 people around the world are part of over 3,000 coworking spaces. Research shows that these coworking spaces are gaining popularity. The concept is that freelancers, entrepreneurs, and other independent workers pay a fee in order to benefit from working amongst one another. Besides the cool and hip design typically characteristic of the shared work space, other factors contribute to their rising popularity. Insights from many workspace members indicate many reasons. Workspaces foster personal growth and community building. Coworking encourages members to share interests amongst one another and explore opportunities that go beyond a daily work routine. Coworking spaces are also reaching diverse segments of the workforce. Whether seeking community or just avoiding the commute to the traditional office space, many people are attracted to coworking spaces.
