Consistency is about doing things, even small things, over and over.. Even when you don't want to. I never thought being a dad of three, one with special needs, a husband to a special education teacher, mentor to men coming out of addiction, I would be able to make time to be healthy. I tried years of finding what worked, but wasn't until I found a team environment, a team of like minded people who've walked in the same shoes was I able to be sustainable. One of the biggest mistakes people can make when they are ready for a new lifestyle is trying to change too much too soon. Success can defeat you just as much as defeat can. This was me when I started my journey. I didn't lose tons of weight or build huge muscles. The first result I had, my duty belt was looser. Then my vest fit better. On K9 tracks or being the decoy, I had more stamina. I didn't overdose on supplements, lift huge amounts of weight. Started making small simple goals weeks and months at a time. Who else has transformation pictures or stories they are willing to share to help those who feel defeated?
