Small Publishers Fair

This was my fourth time visiting the Small Publishers Fair. Last year I was trying to make some contacts to do an internship, and learned that the publishes are so small, that there’s no room for any interns. Or they are based outside of London.

This fair is always very inspiring for me as I can talk to the artists and see how literally anything can be made into an artist book.

Be aware of smaller publishers, should the bigger ones not see the glory of your ways. They may want and need you. Go with the one who loves you, not the one with the biggest gold buttons. - Margaret Atwood (@therealmargaretatwood) Publishing isn't a black and white affair, at least not anymore. We have (a) self-publishing, (b) traditional publishing, and (c) small publishing companies who rally around a few select authors... Or they work on smaller projects or specific genres - usually with less known writers.
