as the door to her room swings open, tricia is quick to toss pink comforter over the incriminating object laying there. glare is sent craig's way, finger lifted to flip him off in customary greeting. " learn to fucking knock, you gay asshole. what do --"

it's right then, at that moment, that the incriminating object under the covers starts to squirm and try to break free. tricia angles her body so hopefully craig won't see it, coughing to cover up her pause. " what the fuck do you want --" and then, of course, comedic timing would dictate that THAT was when the object falls onto the floor, revealing a medium sized ball of fluff. eleven year old girl actually looks vaguely horrified for a second, before turning to classic begging and threatening.

From what he had expected to go in a general lightening of the mood, he was shocked by the other’s response, eyes widening. The BASEMENT? Kyle’s eyebrows knitted, he seemed so.. happy despite his words. Was that something he considered normal? 

“Dude..” That’s all he could bring to words initially. How were you supposed to react when someone said something like that? Kyle brought one hand to rub his forearm, “Are you okay?"

kyle wishes he could've done like he told stan he was going to and went home and just -- forgot about his best friends issues for a while. left him to stew in it so maybe he'd actually learn this time ( mental health doesn't work like that, kyle knew that, but he WISHES it were so easy. ) but the second he's home all he can think about is stan.

stan recoiling and screaming at him, stan drunk and upset again. stan probably at home either cursing his name or forgetting about him or, god, what if he was HURTING himself... pillow is pulled up over his own head from where he baracaded himself in bed, pressed tight around it like it can block out his thoughts. because of this he almost misses the sounds of stans text alert.

another wish, if he could get one, would be the ability to deny how fast he sat up in bed and dived for the phone. how his heart dropped to his stomach at the messages, and how he was already moving to get dressed again even as he typed back.
