honestly, the smiley’s people radio play is a gift. at one point, george, talking “to karla,” as he does throughout the play, addressing karla only as you, says “it’s cold. it’s like your touch would be in a very bad dream.” HE’S TALKING ABOUT THE WEATHER. WHY IS HE THINKING ABOUT WHAT KARLA’S TOUCH IS LIKE ENOUGH THAT IT COMES UP IN THE CONTEXT OF THE WEATHER............
