some of star trek characters are so vacuum sealed into their clothes that tumblr automatically flags them as soon as i try to post. and by some, i mean that it happened four times: to t'pol, to seven of nine, to a crewman wearing the tos motion picture uniform, and to a sulliban from star trek enterprise, photographed from behind, flat-fuck-fridaying under a door. this selection gives us a somewhat of an across-the-franchise overview of the the look.

the sulliban are really good, honestly. they wear these boat-necked gymnast onesies which really do absolutely nothing for the actors and when they're naughty their boss takes their genes away. they also talk to mysterious people from the future. you'd think this would be really relevant but it doesn't come up much because everybody in star trek enterprise talks to people from the future, and some of them are covered in even more unflattering outfits, like crewman daniels, who has a shirt made out of pipes.

there's also this episode when archer finds out that sulliban across the galaxy including children are opressed and put in detention camps because they're all assumed to be a part of the gene-altering troupe. which i always felt like was trying to talk about Arabs in USA but i'm kind of afraid to bring this up because then we have to ask the crucial question of "did they name them sulliban because they're the space taliban?" and who among us is ready for that?

borrowing a C shape pillow from a friend.... I don't understand it!!!! where do my arms go? nothing feels right. is it supposed to support my belly or go between my legs/arms? why is there a portion for your head to go on instead of your own head pillow, like it's WAY too low by itself for my neck but also too high to just plop my own pillow on top of it... also it locks all my body heat in under the blanket so I'm way warmer than usual. UGH. I keep experimenting with different setups and then kicking it off the bed halfway through the night

I'm uncomfortable while sleeping but CANNOT figure out wtf is wrong or what type of pregnancy pillow would even help. they are all bewildering to me, I would need a trial basis with each one before committing

If you’re in the US in one of the areas whose fruit and veggies are affected, and you’re tired of peeling everything, here are some of my favorite safer fiber options:

1) boil crushed berries or chopped fruit for sevenish minutes in a little water with lots of honey or sugar (and maybe your fav dessert flavor; I like cinnamon). Makes a delicious compote to put on your oats, in your yogurt, on top of waffles, etc.

2) stir-fry, my beloved. You can make your own stir fry sauce with garlic, ginger, oil, soy sauce, honey, a splash of vinegar and a little orange or lemon juice.

3) fermented veggies. I like pickles, kimchi and sauerkraut.

4) dried or air-fried fruit.

5) almost every veggie is delicious roasted with oil and salt. You can add herbs, garlic, cheese or honey to feel like a Roman emperor.

card holder/slot for 3 cards, preferably a couple bills too, but 3 could work.

not a wallet case with the part that flips over... it's what I've been using for years, but it's tricky to take photos one-handed, which is why I want to change it up now
