You are an Amazon Warrior Princess “fighting the good fight and making it through the long night”. But through all that somehow you also have a great sense of humor, and justice too, cause your blog is full of hilarious and touching stuff from all over the place.
alxvse there’s not much that’s better than reading your OITNB fics and discussing them with you. Maybe reading your tags comes close. And as someone else said, the YB verse is so real and canon to me, I now think “nice Prison!AU” when I watch the real thing. There are no other fics where I go to bed/wake up crazy trying to figure out what is going to happen next and have to message the author to get it out of my head. And to think you once said to me, “I wish I wrote that line” *faints* . Of course your blog (life) also reads like a fic - small town girl heads to LA with her friends to make it big in the entertainment world, discovering life and love along the way… hey, you should submit that as a show idea ;) … I can’t wait to find out what happens next with you either!
smarmypuggles OK so here is to the woman that posts “I’m retiring from fanfic until further notice” in December, and then in January posts “I feel like the gelphie fandom is slowly dying out. Rally the troops…we need art and music and writing” duh, so start writing again! It’s OK, I know RL has to come first, you have to be in the right place in your head, etc. But I seriously love your writing style, it is so perfectly book canon, I don’t even know how many times I have reread Careful Considerations. And you wrote a drabble off of my Philosophy Club prompt *huge grin*, so y’all come back now, ya hear? ;)
amauzing I know why your url is amauzing, it is because you are amazing. I have no idea how you obtain every detail of every Wicked troupe and every Glinda and Elphaba, past and present, so fast. And you are a fellow midwestern broadway fan, stuck in the boonies far away from the great white way (maybe it’s for the best, you spend enough on shows without even being in NYC ;) ). The fandom is lucky to have such a font of knowledge and opinion as you. And on top of that, your personal trials and tribulations with the St. Louis theater scene are entertaining, and your thoughts and experiences with the aftermath of the Michael Brown shooting have been very interesting. Oh, and I really love your enthusiastic fangirling about Alli, 2NT, etc. This world needs more enthusiasm!
ridiculousmavis talk about writing, you are the queen! Perfect book verse style, characterizations, exciting stories, *sigh*. As far as I am concerned, The Brave and the Vulnerable is canon (but I do wonder how the rest of that book would go… ;) ). You’ve teased that there is more Wicked in you, so I patiently wait for it to come out some day (you heard Puggles, rally the troops…). And then there is your blog. I learn something new almost every time you post. Someone who likes Wicked, space, Star Trek, writing, and history? Yes please, I’ll have lots more of that!
