Melalui Program Kreativitas Mahasiswa-Penerapan Iptek (PKM-PI), mereka menciptakan SmartCleaner: Sistem Pembersih Kandang Bertenaga Surya dengan Monitoring Amonia untuk membantu Kelompok Tani Ngudi Makmur di Desa Gunung Manuk, Patuk, Gunungkidul.
SmartCleaner lahir dari persoalan klasik peternak sapi: kandang sulit dibersihkan secara rutin, sementara kadar gas amonia yang tinggi membahayakan kesehatan ternak. Akibatnya, bobot sapi bisa turun hingga 15 persen dan kerugian kelompok tani mencapai Rp400 juta per siklus.
Tim mahasiswa UNY yang terdiri dari Veri Saputra dan Shafa Feby Ayuningtyas (Pendidikan Teknik Elektro) serta Anida Syafa Hapsari (Biologi) merakit SmartCleaner di Bengkel Elektro FT UNY.
