Reading Schedule
As the winter is starting to draw in (today is 1 September and the air outside is very autumnal) and it does not look like I’m going to be returning to the office anytime soon I’ve been thinking about what I’m going to be reading in the coming months, and thought I would share in case anyone is looking for book recommendations, has recommendations, wants to read along, or chat about books.
September
Serpent & Dove - This is a reread. I first read this books months ago and really adored it, but I want to revisit is ahead of the sequel coming out this month (enemies to loves with soft shy boys will ALWAYS be my catnip).
Blood & Honey - I have this ordered from my local bookshop who say its expected 17 September, I can’t wait!
October
Ninth House - I have been waiting to read this book for ages as I love Leigh Bardugo. I wanted to read it months ago but my local bookshop told me to wait until the paperback comes out, which it was scheduled to in October and I am counting down the days.
November
I don’t think there are any books coming out in November that I am waiting to read, but I will update this as it changes.
December - January
A Court of Thorns and Roses/A Court of Wings and Ruin/A Court of Mist and Fury/A Court of Frost and Starlight - Towards the end of December I plan to kick off my ACOTAR reread ahead of the Nessian book release at the end of January. I don’t know how long a total reread will take me but I’ve put aside a month because I’ll be working and along with Christmas/New Year celebrations it might be slower than I anticipate. I plan to post a lot about it though, if anyone would like to read along with me :)

I’m a pretty ferocious reader so obviously this is not the full extent of the books that I will read over the next few months, but I will update this post as I go with what I’m reading. Like, no offence if you want to go out and meet people. You do you! But for me, I really, really don’t want to meet, get pics, get autographs, etc. I appreciate the work that people do, watch the movies, read the books, and then I am done.
I enjoy hanging out with friends, people that I know and like and have things in common with. Making small talk with a well-known person sounds mentally taxing in a way I don’t even have words to describe.
I might be willing to send out a fan letter or email, letting someone know how much their public work has meant to me. But meeting them? No. Not for this introvert.

Los Angeles is definitely a reading city and there are so many bookstores I still didn't get to see but the highlight of my trip was definitely the Ripped Bodice. Ever since I came out as a romance reader, I have fully embraced the warm, loving community of romance readers and being here and meeting the lovely owners was definitely a bucket list sub-item. Thanks to #smartbitchestrashybooks for existing and making life so great. ❤️
Books
I’m supposed to be getting prepped for the spring semester, but Jennifer Crusie has made herself known and all I want to do is curl up on the couch and read her books. I’ve read three so far and not a bad one yet. Anyone who can make southern Ohio sound interesting and funny has got it going on as a writer. And she writes about women who are forty. And curvy, i.e. have real hips and breasts. And the dialogue and banter are killer. And the sex scenes are hot and funny at the same time which sounds bad, but isn’t. And one of the heroines is an actuary and one is a con artist and I can’t wait to find out who the rest are. So I’m tagging @alexandralyman , @lizacstuff, and @nowforruin, to click over to Amazon to get this deal for which I blame Smart Bitches, Trashy Books . You all deserve this collection for being smart writers yourselves and working way too hard. And damn, 12 bucks for 7 novels is a fantastic deal. Pass it on.
