So I've had a few friends send me a video file out of the blue through Facebook Messenger (I'm on mobile and my phone is crap with screenshots but the thumbnails of the videoa are either a solid color or have a static-y effect). Only a few realized that this had happened claiming that they never meant to send a video. THIS IS A VIRUS! If someone sends you a video file like this, DO NOT OPEN IT! Your device will become jeopardized and your account might become hacked. If you were a victim of this virus and had already noticed you sent videos to your friends unsolicited, IMMEDIATELY CHANGE YOUR PASSWORDS AND ALERT THEM THAT IT IS A VIRUS! It may be too late for some, but it is still a good idea to warn them so that they can spread the word too. I never send my friends videos or pictures without their consent so if we're friends on Messenger you'll know if I've been hacked if I don't notify you first. A lot of other people are like this as well. Reblog this to warn your followers and stay safe, everyone! Luckily I haven't been affected by this new virus *knocks on wood* and I hope you don't fall victim to it either!
