Smaugust Day 3: Venom
I had never been to the tropical deserts of Tali, but I’ve heard stories from close friends about the wondrous wildlife that lives there. Hundreds of dragons I’d never heard of before. One of my closest friends Sophie has recalled a tale for me, the myth of the laughing snake. She had heard it while on a drake pulled safari through the desert. Within the sands lay a human sized snake with a gaping smile, only coming out every 253 years to feast. It’s laughter was almost human like, or so the myth goes, and would draw in weary travelers who got curious about the sound. I suspect that it is just a story to make sure no young wander off, or to try and deter is anyway. Though, the cycle of 253 years is coming around again… so maybe I’ll find out for myself. How big could the snake be anyway?
