@friendlyneighbourhooddm smcu lore timeline part one, oct. 26 through dec. 20!! colors are by importance according to the us terrorism threat levels but minus yellow because that isn't a tumblr font color (red -> orange -> blue -> green) (red being highest and green being lowest). theories are in purple. i am so tired. i spent six days on this before i realized it wouldn't save and had to delete all of dec 21. i spent three hours scrolling as far back on every smcu blog as i could to find their first posts. i cross-referenced timestamps. i want my bachelor's in smcu please!
all jokes aside, this was really fun to compile. i love looking back on smcu lore. i'm sad (and irritated) that people bullied olly and ethan (aka straightestmike and gayestwiil) off the internet not only because it made finding older lore an absolute pain in the ass but also because i considered them my friends. they built this fandom and this story, and they were always at the core of it. i'm sorry that they weren't able to appreciate the love and joy that they created for us. i'm sorry that people thought it was okay to harass them like that

A chronicle of Theo Decker's time in the SMCU, Dec. 19 - Dec. 26.
You are on a walk. Just a little trip to grocery store is all; you ran out of milk. You walk through downtown, same as always, both a witness and participant in the noise and bustle of the city. As you pass a darkened alleyway you notice a crumpled figure. At first it seems like your typical homeless person or alcoholic, but you notice that they are laying in a puddle of what looks like dark blood. You creep forward, trying to get a better look, and realize it isn't blood at all, but some sort of oily looking black sludge. You then realize that you recognize the figure, despite the countless gashes and tiny (but vicious looking) bites that cover him, the source of the black liquid, it's @athleticestlucas Nearby, a mangled alley cat with a gash over its eye sits, it's maw covered in the sludge.
What do you do?

idk if i ever posted this but since i've been compiling the old smcu lore like crazy here's one of the boards i was using to keep track of everything that was happening
i summarized all of it in words in the SMCU community when this was going on but basically it's connecting the colors of text to different paths/branches of the finnverse (Mirrors) plot. and then it's got all of the evidence i used to determine the meanings of those colors, some connections of boris's dreams (clocks = chimes = running out of time; wrong = wrong from the wordle). some of the stuff is wrong, like the blue vs red (i was wrong about what blue symbolized) and there's some stuff that i didn't quite follow through on (orange symbolism) or didn't have all the information i needed by the time i made this. this was on the 22nd so we still had about 3 days worth of stuff to go, not counting the rapture. also tumblr nuked the image quality :(
