A sketch of Older Fox who ends up being his father’s spitting image. ( if you ignore the antennae lmfao ). He’s possibly late twenties, early thirties here.

His Father was supposed to inherit Membrane Labs as head scientist but since Dib would rather die - it was changed in Membrane’s Will that his grandson - who showed promise by being passionate about science - be the heir instead.

Bonus little drawing on the corner: someone put his middle name on his Membrane labs Head scientist ID and he’s not happy about it ( no this wasn’t an excuse to officially christen him as Fox “Zimtwo” I simply don’t know what you’re talking about :3c )

A proper introduction to my ZADR child

This was inspired by a friend of mine who made a big post about their own fankiddos for another fandom - so I’d like to ramble about my own fankiddo who I love dearly. I haven’t revealed much about him here - so y’all get to learn a little bit more.

Fox Zimtwo Membrane

Zim and Dib’s only child. Fox was a test tube baby, made in Zim’s base from a similar machine that Smeets often developed in from back on Irk. The only difference being that this particular machine had to be modified to accept irken and human DNA admixture. Which it did, by taking a blood sample of the parents and developing the smeet inside a tube filled with a green liquid substance, that is supposed to sustain the smeet until it’s ready to be let out.

Fox was always very rambunctious and hyper since he was a little boy. This is in part due to his initial diet when he was a baby that lasted until he was about maybe 8 years old, which consisted of sweets and sugar - as he is allergic to meats and his parents were kinda dumb and didn’t think that vegetables could be an option ( though in their defense, an irken child would need an irken diet…it’s just that well Fox is only half so his options are less limited ). However, being incredibly hyper is also just how he is, generally.

He has a very loud personality ( with a loud voice to match ) and can be a bit of a little manipulator - things he inherited from Zim in particular. He shares Dib’s excitable and semi obsessive nature as well and tends to get really into things that interest him. Fox is incredibly stubborn sometimes - something that might come from both parents. And he has a seemingly endless amount of energy and drive.

Fox is also incredibly smart. He is the type of kid to make a whole presentation with statistics and calculations. He’s a very intelligent boy for his age and already displays incredible ability to construct his own inventions and experiments that he makes in his father’s base in his free time — However this does result in the house blowing up on many occasions. He’s quite the little scientist, and science is his main interest. He ends up inheriting Membrane Labs as Head Scientist ( taking over his grandfather Membrane’s position ) when he’s old enough.

While Fox seems to be an extreme child, he’s actually very sociable with other children and can be well behaved. Despite his intense nature, he’s a sweet boy and very kind.

Fox’s hobbies include making things or doing activities that require working with his hands. He loves experimenting with irken equipment which he’s free to do so using the technology in his father’s base - if he asks first ( and promises not to blow things up or at least try ) He also loves to read - gravitating a lot to science fiction. Less the extraterrestrial aspect of the genre and more of the advanced science and technology aspect - I think reading these sorts of stories would later inspire him as an adult when he eventually becomes a scientist himself. he also enjoys paranormal novels ( thanks to Papa Dib ). And has a love for video games.

Despite Fox’s interest in scientific pursuits, he does share a fascination with the paranormal with his Papa. It’s hard not to believe in such things when his very existence could be described as such. His favorite thing to do to bond over the topic is to sit down with his Dad and watch some reruns of Mysterious Mysteries - which Dib first introduced him to as a toddler. It’s become their favorite bonding activity.

Fox’s appearance is mostly human-like while his irken physical traits are more subtle. He has Dib’s complexion and his hair ( which doesn’t fully have a scythe shape yet until he’s older ) while his eyes are pink - like Zim. His irises developed a pink color rather than Fox inheriting irken eyes. He also has Dib’s nose and ears. Despite having said ears, Fox does have irken antennae - which are more for sensory purposes rather than hearing. His antennae is often hidden amongst his hair, so it’s not noticeable right away. Fox also has an irken tongue and has a mixture of human and irken organs - he possesses a squeedilyspooch in particular.

A less physical irken trait he has is his tendency to run very bug-like. He often is very skitterish and tends to be able to move around quickly - sometimes while not even being seen or noticed. This comes in handy for pranks and getting things from the fridge while his parents aren’t looking. A less physical human trait ( that he inherited from Dib ) is his allergies - he’s allergic to most dogs and cats.

Fox’s name comes from the character ‘Fox Mulder’ from the X-files. A show that’s probably not canon in the Zim universe but I’d like to believe it is. Dib possibly watched it along with Mysterious Mysteries and being the nerd that he is, opted to name his son after Mulder, who is a fictional fbi agent in charge of tackling paranormal phenomena.

Fox’s middle name ‘Zimtwo’ comes from..Zim being bad at names and Dib not giving him child naming privileges unless it was a middle name.
