I know Hamas is a terrorist organization and is awful like that, but running counterinsurgency is really hard to do.

Wouldn't it make more sense to acknowledge that Israel can't eliminate Hamas like it wants, so they should cut a deal to exchange detainees for hostages and put this entire thing to rest?

I mean, hasn't Israel already gotten the guys who planned the 10/7 attacks? They can call that a victory and placate the Israeli right-wing with that.

I think that would make more sense than the endless siege that's been going on for almost a year, regardless of whether you think it's a genocide or not.

before responding to this i did a little scroll of your blog and after doing so, i noticed you have a pattern of targeting only jews and israel with your politics.

while your arguments may be sound, i have no doubt in my mind that this ask is predatory. you are asking me to tell you that you’re right, for what reason i have no idea. perhaps you're pushing to see whether i have enough criticism of israel to satisfy your expectations.

i have made my stance very clear: i want the hostages home and this war to end. a deal is the best path for that in my american opinion. would like to restate: i am american, from america. demanding random jews placate your specific opinions so you can feel "right" is weird.
