How big should a hospital tank be for a betta fish?

Depending on who you ask, you’re likely to get different answers.

There are advantages and disadvantages to both large and small hospital tanks. For example, a larger setup, such as a 5 or 10g, is easier to dose and keep heated. However, you need more medicine. A smaller setup can easily fit inside a larger tank for easy heating and monitoring but is trickier to dose and require more water changes.

If your fish is the single fish in the aquarium, you can dose the whole thing. However, just keep in mind that if you use an antibacterial med, you’ll kill the good bacteria living in your tank and filter media. That’s why it’s handy to remove the filter media before medicating.

I can’t really give you an exact answer since I’ve done both larger and smaller setups and don’t really feel strongly attached to one or the other. I would still try to avoid anything less than 2g unless you’re dedicated to 100% changes every day.

he can shapeshift, but this version of snatcher actually has limits to his powers since he’s technically not a ghost. Turning into one human is already hard enough, but turning into 50 would be agonizingly difficult.
