Ladakh: Post 3/15. It is not easy for us lesser mortals to understand why somebody would like to become a Lama and dedicate life to study scriptures and way of life that was first prescribed more than 2000 years ago. But in Ladakh, it is a common practice to have one son in the family to become a Lama. I met this little Lama jee at the Naropa festival and he had a magnetic charm about him. He asked me for my camera as he wanted to click pictures. Is there a bigger joy than to bring a smile on a kids face ? We were on a #DarterNorthEast tour to a #Naga village outside #Kohima where these kids were as happy to be clicked as we were to click them. At the #Hornbill festival #Naga community Morungs are recreated which are the common place for the community get together. In this one a kettle was boiling. But what attracted @darterphoto group was these God Rays filtering into the kitchen as if blessing the food being prepared.
