I am so in love with all the werewolf stories, and oddly enough am learning about teams I never knew much about! Preds fan here, so your James Neal was my gateway drug. Some Rich Clune trivia that might interest you is that he attended Leo Komarov's 2016 wedding in Helsinki. I personally find Komarov fascinating. Speaks 4 languages and is someone who exists in the liminal spaces: Russian, grew up in a Finland-Swede city, Ingrian Finnish descent. I bet he'd make an interesting wolf. :)
Thank you! James Neal was pretty much my gateway to the Preds too (that and sad Shea Weber...). I just really enjoy writing him. Like, I know that my fictional representation is nothing like the real thing, but writing my fictional James Neal is like my happy place.
It sounds a little creepy that I know this off the top of my head, but I’m guessing you got the thing about Dicky going to Komarov’s wedding from Komarov’s Wikipedia page, and if you read the article that’s the source for that, they later clarified that while Dicky was indeed dressed up for something on the same day as Komarov’s wedding and made a joke about wedding crashing (the picture is gone now, which is something for which we should all mourn), he wasn’t actually at Komarov’s wedding (presumably, he was at somebody else’s).
Regardless, even though I don’t follow the Leafs (boo, hiss) and so I don’t know incredibly much about our friend Uncle Leo, I have liked everything I’ve ever seen about him...
