Honestly I won’t be surprised if Winsweep’s character in smiling protocol uses the twist “OH but the guy who’s been helping you for all this time IS the BBEG” and make him Mr. Smilie in disguise or whatever, and honestly that’d be cool! It is also equally as funny if he doesn’t do that though because then his character is just a guy. Like he has no idea what’s going on he just works there.

Anyway, just a thought :P

SP!Win stayed at the Smiling Hospice for a year or so bc of a very severe infection that definitely would have killed him (if El didn’t step in)

He is now blind in one eye due to the infection getting into it. He’s been blind since he want to the hospice so he doesn’t remember E very well due to that and being pretty young (+ stupid)

As for E, she designed all of Smilies robots while in hospice

Mr. Smile liked the idea of Smilie so he created the robot while she was at the hospice. Even now he is still pulling from her old drawings and twisting them for his own purposes. However, he will always add E to their database so they never ever hurt her

Okay so: Winsweep’s new video “Turning Minecraft into a Cat and Mouse Horror game” dropped today, and I have things to say about Smiling Protocol because of course I do

Spoilers below!

So first, the facts:

Smiling Protocol is set in the 1980s-1990s—I don’t remember the exact years each video takes place in, but I know they are somewhere around that time, though I could be a bit wrong with the years I know they take place in the late 1900s.

This new video, while obviously not a direct continuation in the series, is included in the Smiling Protocol playlist on Winsweep’s channel, and has multiple references and ties to the company of Smilies in general throughout the video.

This new video is set in 2030, the premise based off a game on steam called It Steals (if you don’t know the game, look it up or watch the video first, as Winsweep explains it better than I ever could even if I tried Qwq)

In the video, there’s company stamps, a mention of Mr. S (Mr. Smilie), masks/wincookies left about within the stock, and on Koda’s run, the story touches down on how she died before and was somehow back through writing in a book from an unknown third party (we know it isn’t Checkers—this video’s monster—that wrote it because the book mentions the writer having sent Checkers after everyone rather than having gone after people themself). Checker then leads her out, even seeming to talk to her as opposed to chasing her out the exit door like it did for everyone else.

So obviously, this video has ties to Smiling Protocol in more ways than one. Let’s talk about it :3.

I have no theories as of right now about how Koda—in lore—is alive again, at this point, but I know she is more heavily connected to Smiling Protocol as a whole—having been in all three related videos so far, the first as a new employee, the second as Happy’s voice (and…soul?) and now as an employee again in this one, which isn’t directly related in the timeline or otherwise, but is still tied to the series. However, the person that talked to her through that book said something about being ALIVE and not knowing when exactly it happened. This means they might’ve not been something viewed as alive before, and they seem to not fully understand the concepts of life and death—but, well, who really does? However, the way they talk and the fact they seemed to know Koda may mean that assuming this person is someone we already know about in the series, it may be one of the animatronics or someone tied with the first location; Smilies Hospice. The place Koda worked at (and died at) before.

That’s a very big maybe, though. Less large of a maybe than this next idea.

So obviously, considering the fact this video is set in 2030 and the others are both set in the late 1900s, this video is not the next thing in the timeline. Rather, it’s something in the future of Smiling Protocol. Which may suggest that whatever the goal is in the next chronological installment in the series, it may directly lead to whoever wrote that book addressed to Koda being either set free and going to or even being banished to the dimension the majority of this video takes place in. They did say it was their home…or at least, now it is.

Anyway I don’t have a lot of solid theories or whatever, I just think the Smiling Protocol series as a whole is really cool and this video was a lot more mysterious in its connection to the series—probably because it’s set in the future—so I thought it’d be cool to talk about :3
