I’m not even gonna like, Hannes was completely justified in his decision to not take down the smiling titan the first time. Like I don’t care how trained I am, how prepared I am, how much I’ve heard about these things, (keep in mind this is his FIRST time EVER seeing a titan) I am NAWT fighting that. I don’t even care that I have equipment, you can go fuck yourself if you think I’m gonna take down that thing, especially when I see my comrades being taken down easily by titans just as big or even smaller than the one I’m facing.

I was thinking what an odd coincidence it was that all the titans who used to be Eldian Resorationists all just so happened to be at Trost. They had over 15 years to spread out across Paradis and the area that comprises Wall Maria alone is huge. And yet most if not all of them turned up in the same district that day.

From the looks of it, they were travelling together in a hoard that whole time. Which sort of lends credence to my theory that Eldians who are turned into titans en masse will instinctively stick together our of a sense of familiarity from their past lives. We can sort of see this with the Ragako titans as well, although there are some exceptions like Connie's dad and, curiously enough, Dina.

Dina was turned only minutes after the other restorationists but she wasn't with them at Trost. It could be because they had a big head start on her from chasing Falco's uncle, but she should have easily been able to catch up with them within twenty minutes,a few days at the most. No, I think she split off from them because her desire to find Grisha was so strong that it set her off on her own course. Although it obviously took a while to kick in because otherwise she would have waited for Grisha at the wall like how Kawaii Eyes titan glared up at Gross with contempt after he was turned. Almost like he was waiting for the bastard to fall off so he could rip him apart, which I'm so very happy he did.

Thinking about Zeke and Dina today and it suddenly hit me...

Did Zeke ever come across Dina's titan while he was on Paradis in Season 2? Like when he was making his way to Wall Rose, did he catch sight of her blonde hair from among the treetops and for once, forget the missions from Marley and from himself?

Did he approach her as the Beast Titan or did he emerge from the nape at a safe enough distance to look at her. Was he replused by the twisted echo of her smile that she used to give to him when she caressed his cheek? Saddened? Numb?

Did he ponder taking control of her? Some vindictive part of his psyche that wanted revenge against her for the role she played in trying to shape him into a restorationist since Grisha wasn't here to take his ire. Only to stop himself and gain yet another reason for his self-hatred. Hadn't he punished her enough by sending her to the island of devils in the first place?

Did he think about bringing her with him to feed her the Founding Titan? Did he think about feeding Reiner to her the next time he bungled his duties? Did he consider only for the briefest of instances feeding himself to her?

Or did he carry on, leaving that ghost from his past with the unknowing grin behind.

Trying not to think about whether or not he saw some spark of recognition in her eyes.
