Iāve just gotten into the RDR2 fandom, but Iām so confused. Why are people all over Micah? I really liked him too, until I learnt he has sexual relations with a 16 YEAR OLD GIRL? WHEN HES 39?? Am I missing something? Or is everyone just ignoring it? Do people just not care?
(Edit, I also completely forgot that he called Charles a slur. I played the first chapter and a bit of the second one a super long time ago, and then picked it back up only recently and then I finished it. Idk if him doing that was in a main mission or a side bit but yeah)
I saw someone make a post awhile ago about how, if Immortal man was truly a scientist before the cataclysm, then him and the conspiracy theorist couldāve possibly worked together, and I wanted to expand on that.
Conspiracy theorist who lwky has a one sided rivalry with immortal man at work, because heās handsome, smart, tall (taller than him at least), knows how to at least hold a conversation, and doesnāt put people off by blabbering on.
Of course, for the sake of work, heās able to put these feelings aside and get the job done, but when heās not working, itās a whole other story.
He tries to one up him in conversation, trying to impress everyone in the room with his smarts.
He starts to make sure his hair stays properly combed throughout the day, and his shirt properly tucked, to make sure heās putting his best foot forward and show everyone he is just as good looking as him!
He glares at him from across the break room as immortal man blankly stares into a cup of black coffee, obviously exhausted from the day. However, all conspiracy theorist can do is watch him in anger? Jealousy? Whatever heās feelings.
Damn him, with his smarts, tall and thin stature, handsome faceā¦
Oh. Itās only just in that moment he thinks, maybe he doesnāt hate him out of jealously. Maybe he likes him. A lotā¦ and heās scared, because this is his first crush on a man.
No. No, he definitely just hates him because heās this perfect picture of a man.
Although if you were to ask anyone else, they would tell you heās a bit of a mess, constantly exhausted, hair overgrown, facial hair in need of of a clean up, bags under his eyes, and sure heās handsome, above average, but heās not jaw dropping or anything. And anyone who knows him well enough, knows that he maybe has a bit of a drinking problemā¦
But to conspiracy theorist, heās this annoyingly perfect image of a man.
He also learnt from others that immortal man suddenly quit smoking, cold turkey. Which was odd. Rumours went around that he had a child at home all of a sudden, a family he didnāt talk about. Conspiracy theorist felt this twist in his chest, jealouslyā¦ definitely because he wanted a family of his own! Not because the thought of his handsome coworker being already married made him upset, definitely not!
No, he wore no wedding band to work! He wasnāt married, he was justā¦ health conscious. Damn him, and his stupid perfectness.
Yk in the machine to deviant route, Connors a litrle sour before becoming sweet. Lets say he was sour or short. And just "objective" to his partner before he becomes deviant. How would he feel about his past actions?
OOo yk how Amanda takes control too, how would he feel if he did things he would NEVER do, to his partner? Like. Be mean, end things with them. Shut them down emotionally in the name of his objective

Deviant Connor feeling guilt for his past actions
I never have a set way for how I structure my fics, Iām so happy to look a mess.
You and Connor got together when he was in his early days of his investigation, when no one began to question deviancy.
It just started off as you working with him and Hank, and you getting close to Connor. Then you caught feelings, and Connor simply āplayed alongā (he realised later he enjoyed every moment of it).
The first hurtful moment was when he was staying late at the DPD, and you going to go hang out at a local bar with some other colleagues. You tried to convince Connor, and instead he snapped.
āIf you are going to be an obstacle in this investigation, then maybe I should talk to Fowler about having you with us. Nothing matters more, I cannot have you compromising my work.ā
Hank was NOT happy. He didnāt chew him out, but he gave him a stern warning the next day. (Oh dad Hank I love you).
Whenever that moment is brought up, he gets so embarrassed and feels so guilty. Heāll always grab your hand and hold it in his as he apologises. He knows you know he was a machine at that time, but he still feels like he did something wrong.
A funnier time was when you actually successfully convinced him to go with you to a bar (android friendly) and you got pretty drunk. You tried to kiss him, and he simply turned away and started walking back to your car. He didnāt even realise you tried to kiss him.
Even after his deviancy, he didnāt realise you tried to kiss him until you told him. He was slightly giddy at the thought of you wanting to kiss him back then, and also embarrassed at his own density.
After the android revolution, and his deviancy, he would have small moments where he āchanged.ā In his head, he was fighting tooth and nail with Amanda. He knew heād be able to fight her off every time, and they were becoming less and less frequent, but they were never fun.
One time, during one of his āepisodesā, he sent you a short, quick message about breaking up with you.
āIām afraid we cannot be together anymore. You are an obstacle and have nothing but. Having you around is not beneficial.ā
He would send a similar message to Hank about their friendship.
He woke back up half an hour later on the bridge (the one him and Hank talked on), and he realised what he had done. All he could bring himself to do was call Hank and wait.
Hank had gotten messages like that before, many times, so he knew what to do, and Connor didnāt feel as guilty when it came to him.
With you, however? He felt this immense guilt and shame. He had told you he was getting better, that he was closer everyday to finally being rid of Amanda forever. He felt the guilt eating him alive when he thought about how seeing a message like that mustāve made you feel. He had always managed to hold back on doing this sort of thing with you, until now.
He talked with Hank for a short while, expressing these feelings, before Hank finally convinced him to go to your place and explain what happened.
Connorās feelings of guilt werenāt helped when he saw your tear streaked face as you opened the door. He pulled you into a tight hug and apologised profusely.
Connor was so relieved to hear how understanding you were once he explained it. That you didnāt blame him, you were just scared and confused.
Connors episodes have since ceased, but it took awhile.
I think, even if you laugh about it now, Connor is embarrassed and feels very guilty. Even if you tell him you understand it wasnāt intentional.
Connor, before his deviancy, felt nothing towards ādeathā.
But now, he realises how permanent it is. Once heās gone, heās gone. Itās kinda like a little kid realising what death is for the first time.
Itās very scary and world changing for him.
Obviously he knows and has always known what death is, but the actual reality of mortality is setting in for him.
He doesnāt remember the handful of times heās died, and heās very thankful for that. Especially now.
I think, also, after he starts to finally grasp death as an actual feeling, he becomes extremely protective of his loved ones.
He will hold his partners hand a little tighter as you cross the road, or he will keep an eye on you as you cook.
He will also start to be a bit more pushy about a healthy life style.
He also starts to hide Hankās alcohol (even though Hank has started drinking less since the revolution), much to Hankās annoyance.
You have to reassure him that yes, life is dangerous, but spending all day worrying about it will hinder your quality of life.
He eventually calms downs and realises youāre right, but he still gets anxious at times.
His pre-deviancy time, he was pretty cold overall. He really only did things for people if he thought it would benefit him and the mission. Early on at least. Then he slowly started to warm up, he started to do things that werenāt in his programming.
Hell, he even started to like being around youā¦ maybe a bit too much. Hank honestly wasnāt surprised when he deviated.

hi! this is inspired by your recent post where you talked about connor at a party at the DPD, it made me think of a christmas party for some reason, which made me wonder if you have any holiday/celebration related hcs for him? for example what holidays he likes, does he like celebrating his "birthday", does he like receiving gifts (if so, what kind), etc :)

Finally starting to get through requests!
Before his deviancy, he felt no need to celebrate anything, and that includes his birthday release date
After his deviancy, however, he wanted to try and integrate into human society better, and celebrating his birthday was one of those things.
Now he does celebrate his birthday, August 15th, but he also celebrates the day of his deviancy.
He treats his birthday more as an actual birthday, and the day of his deviancy as a sort of anniversary.
However, he insists that no one gets him ANYTHING. Heās found that, after deviating, he feels awkward, and sort of guilty when people do things for him.
He would much rather spend the day with you, Hank, and Sumo. You donāt even have to do anything, just having dinner at Hankās (only you and Hank eat of courseā¦), or going to see a movie.
If you do happen to get him a present, though, he will be overjoyed. Yes, heās awkward and feels a sense of guilt, but knowing that the person he loves went to so much trouble to get him something he may like, makes him tear up. Heās found heās a lot more prone to letting his emotions get the better of him after heās deviated, so yes he will cry the first few times you get him a present. Heās never felt so loved before.
The present that really hit home for him was a dog plushie. It looked like Sumo, and had a little collar with the name āConnorā on it. He thinks itās such a thoughtful gift, so personal to him. Also since heās never had a childhood, and hence never had toys, it hit that small part of him that secretly wishes he couldāve grown up as a person.
Any sort of holiday such as Christmas or Hanukah he will celebrate if you do. Heās adaptable, and he doesnāt really mind either way. I think Hank is a Christmas person, secretly, so he might go over to Hanks for Christmas (if you donāt celebrate it), but he will spend any holiday you want with you.
He doesnāt eat food, so any food related holiday thing is sort of hard to do. Heās fine to maybe drink some thirium, but he doesnāt really need to, and itās much quicker than eating a whole meal, so it doesnāt feel as personal. Although heās just as happy to talk your ear off as you eat.
DPD party
I wanted to touch on the DPD party a bit more.
It was maybe just a fortnight after the android revolution. Connor had deviated, and with Hank fighting tooth and nail for him, helped him get back onto the force as his partner.
Of course some people Gavin gave him trouble, but most people were accepting.
The party was overall pretty casual, people still in white button ups and dresses, but not like it was a black tie event.
Connor felt a bit odd in his white button up and black dress pants. Sure he usually wore more smart clothes in day to day life, but this was completely different to what he was used to.
Hank had already had a few drinks, it wasnāt like he was blackout drunk or aggressive, but he was definitely a bit dizzy, and slurring his words.
Connor was keeping to himself, he knew this party was focused on him and Hankās achievements, but heād much rather sit back and let everyone else take the spotlight.
And speaking of spotlight, one seemed to shine down on you as he saw you. You looked so good that night he swore you were the only thing he could see.
He felt his thirium pump stutter, his face burning slightly hotter. Before his deviancy, he knew you were attractive, but now, now heās only just realising that he may actually be attracted to you.
āHey, Connor, they want you to give āem a speechā Hank suddenly snapped him out of his thoughts, putting a hand on his shoulder.
āWh- me?ā Connor stuttered for a moment, his thirium pump was still beating at a rapid rate, but for a completely different reason now. He didnāt think he could handle those many eyes on him, before he deviated he probably wouldāve managed to scrape by, but now he feels this intense anxiety, absolutely no way.
āHank I canāt! I- seriously I canātā was all he could say, shaking his head. Hank sighed.
āStage fright, huh?ā Maybe it was the alcohol, or maybe it was how he saw Connor basically giving you heart eyes, but he shrugged āwell, I donāt see any harm in me getting up there. We did work on the case together, after all.ā
Connor finally relaxed, giving Hank a small thank you as he watched him walk off and towards the front of the crowd. He knew a fully sober Hank wouldāve said no, but he was thankful either way.
Connor watched as Hank started to stumble through an obviously un-prepared speech, basically talking nonsense to everyone else.
He hadnāt even realised your presence until he heard you, whipping his head around as he heard your voice.
āHey, Connorā¦ congratulations on the case!ā You smiled sweetly at him, a half empty drink in your hand, āhowāve you been, ever since you deviated?ā You casually sat yourself on a desk nearby.
āOh- thank you, uh. Yeah! Iāve beenā¦ Iāve been good.ā He paused for a moment, his thirium pump picking up again, āitās been weird, I guess, feeling emotions for the first time.ā
You huffed out a small, half laugh, nodding, āI can imagine. Itāll get easier, for the most part.ā
Connor nodded, fiddling with his thumbs awkwardly. He wanted to talk with you all night, ask you out, make you laugh, but he was just so nervous.
He was pulled away from the moment only when he heard Hankās voice raising, it seems he had gotten into an argument with, presumably, Gavin, who obviously made some sort of snarky comment.
āDo you think you should go andā¦ uhā you looked at him, shrugging.
āHelp him out? Yeah, I should.ā He pushed himself off the desk he was leaning against, taking a quick moment to take you in, before he nodded and said a brief goodbye, swiftly walking off to drag a now drunker Hank away from an also slightly drunk Gavin.
Hii! I have many requests and I love them! Iām trying to get through them, but I have a metric fuck ton of shit going on in my life right now, and Iām extremely stressed, so please understand that I canāt get them done as quickly as Iād like.
