Update: I’m still here!
Hello, followers! I know it’s been a long while since I posted here. I’m doing okay and all my scaly babies are doing well too! I just thought I’d pop in and give you all an update.
Winter wasn’t too tough on us here in Austin. All my snakes and lizards made it through just fine. Only one of my ball pythons decided to fast, but he’s back to eating, so it’s all good :D My noodles are all growing fast!
Since I lost my well paying job last year, it’s sort of slowed down our breeding plans here. I can’t afford an incubator for eggs, so it looks like I’m going to put off breeding hognose snakes. I’m keeping Otachi, as I love her hissy self to bits, but I’ll be looking to sell the little 100% het anery male that I bought last year. If anyone’s interested, drop me a note!
In gecko news, I’m not going to be breeding this year. I trimmed my collection down to 2 males and 2 females and I’m giving them the year off. Last year I hatched SO MANY babies and had a hard time trying to find homes for some of them, so I don’t really want to deal with that stress this year. Also, I had a rough experience last year with sending geckos I never received payment for (my fault for shipping before I got paid :\), so that’s left a sour taste in my mouth. I still have two geckos I’m holding for this person, but I’ve been trying to reach them since December about them and have gotten no response, so I’m going to give them until the end of the month before I sell off those geckos.
So I might have a pair of crested geckos for sale at the end of the month for anyone interested. Right now it’s looking like one is male and one is female (not 100% on that, though). They come from different parents and aren’t related, so they’d make an ok breeding pair if you’re interested in their looks. I’ll post pics of them if I end up needing to sell them (which I’m expecting I will need to do).
So yeah, there’s an update. Now that the weather is warming up, I’ll see if I can’t get some of my snakes outside to take pics of them :D They’re all getting so big and beautiful <3
