so I was at this thing today (where women were sharing inspirational stories about their personal struggles, some really raw stuff) and I bump into this friend that I’ve known a lonnng time but she lives in a different city so we don't really see each other very often (am in Mississauga and she’s in Scarborough and it’s all generally Toronto but not really) and anyway it was so nice seeing her because she’s bomb af and we were catching up a bit and I found out that she’s from Montreal? and I was all like how do I not know this about you we’ve known each other so long? and she's like she moved here when she was ten but yeah it was neat and then hockey came up and she was like “yeah I was at the Leafs/Habs game” and I’m like, “whatttt! mad jealous yo that’s wicked! the Habs are my team” and she’s like “no way, they’re mine!” and I pull out my phone (which has a Habs case) to show her how Habs I am and so yeah. I told her it was tough being the lone irl Habs fan and that I’ve had to turn to tumblr to satiate myself (she might’ve given me a good natured side-eye at that but whatever) and I was so happy to learn this about her and gave her a heads up that I may or may not be harassing her with habs-induced feelings from now on.

Anyway I get some texts from her later on my way home, she’s like “my friend is on the team” and I’m like wwhattttt

turns out she went to junior high and high school with DSP and they’re friends

I was internally flipping my shit

told her I was gonna brag about being a friend of a friend of a hab if she was cool with it and she laughed and said yeah sure

so here, fam! this happened today, I feel so fly now
