So Schmitty! He's very perceptive, right? I've been wondering if he might eventually suspect Ian isn't human. One too many doors bursting open due to fierce winds when Ian's upset, something like that...
I think he suspects Ian isn’t human for real (more than a haha passing thought) about the time when he politely informs Ian that he knows he’s queer and it’s cool and he will keep that secret and Ian… does not act any differently and yet still very obviously has a secret.
And Schmitty like, well it can’t be that he likes that Martin guy because THAT is no secret. (Schmitty is such a detective, let me tell you) and then like, his brain twigs to the fact that Ian gets tense and slightly more bitchy whenever someone says derogatory gay shit or derogatory beings shit.
And no judgement. Lots of humans have some being in their ancestry, even if they pretend otherwise.
But Ian’s eyes are very blue. Ian does not ever look tired though he might act tired. He does not get sick. He does not work out or eat good food and yet look at him.
And then you notice that like. If Ian says it’s going to rain by 3 that day, it is going to rain by 3 that day. And the wind stuff and the birds and how Zarrin starts to defer to him in weird ways.
Schmitty might not know exactly what’s up. But he knows shit is up.
