Ingredients: 1 cup ketchup. 1/2 cup dark beer preferably smoke ale. 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar. 1/4 cup brown sugar. 2 tablespoons molasses. 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard. 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce. 1 teaspoon smoked paprika. 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder. 1/2 teaspoon onion powder. Salt and black pepper to taste.
Instructions: Dark beer, brown sugar, molasses, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder should all be mixed together in a saucepan. Add the ingredients and mix them well with a whisk. Start by setting the pan on medium heat. Then, slowly pour the mixture in. Turn down the heat and let it simmer for 15 to 20 minutes, stirring every now and then, until the sauce thickens to the consistency you want. To taste, add salt and black pepper. If you need to, change how sweet or sour it is. Take the Smoke Ale Barbecue Sauce off the heat and let it cool down before you use it.
