Smoking
It’s a sin.
It’s a dirty habit.
It’s a dirty, disgusting habit.
It’s toxic for the smoker and the people around him.
There’s nothing cool about smoking, there’s nothing cool about having smoking techniques or moves like blowing smoke out the corner of your mouth, holding the cigarette a certain way in your palm, or standing a certain way while smoking poison and blowing it into the world around you.
So why is this gif making me weak in the knees?
Is it because he is/seems to be such a wonderful, pure human being, as perfect as it gets, and I’m latching on to this one dirty nasty habit as a way to humanize this creature that is somehow the same species as me?
Maybe that same part latching on to this one human failing is the one that thrives on his darkness, that wants to pull out that edge and sharpen it to a point, that imagines his anger, his nastiness, his moodiness in way to truly realize what remarkable light he holds?
That latches on to those moments where that deep impatience, his perfect flaws show? He is not perfect, but how can his imperfections make him so perfect?
