SHOE TREES: YOU'RE ALL I EVER WANTED
You’re all I never needed
yeah
so tell me what to do now
cuz i want
OK so you know when your nice leather shoes start creasing and you’re like whatever that is what happens when leather molds to your feet and stride it’s just a fact of life and the leather won’t be as smooth anymore well ACTUALLY that’s not true! You should be using shoe trees. Preferably ones that are made of unfinished cedar, because:
1) they draw moisture from the leather to protect and preserve the leather
2) they smooth out creases so they don’t permanently crease the leather leading to cracks much later down the line eek!
3) they keep your shoes smelling nicer bc well it’s cedar
They’re like $25 a pop and you only need one pair bc the most crucial time to put them in your leather shoes is 1-2hrs after you have taken the shoes off (when leather is most moist and warm and malleable) and when the leather has settled back into it’s original shape you can take em out.
