A couple of my fav youtubers, Cory and Kristen Williams, lost one of their cats recently, Loki.  I've followed Cory's channel for years and it's been so fun watching his channel and family grow. So I wanted to paint a little portrait of their kitty.  RIP little guy.

Lost and Found (inspired by a true story)

Once, I was lost.

I woke up on a hot day, and I couldn’t see. My paws were very hot, and it hurt to walk. I called out for my Mama, but she did not answer. Then I called out for my brothers and sisters, but they would not answer either.

I felt something around me, and it made a weird sound. I then heard other loud sounds around me, and they whooshed by at high speeds. I didn’t know what was going on, and I was very scared.

But then, I heard some voices, and even though I couldn’t see, I felt their presence very strongly. One of them looked a little like me, grey with stripes, and a mean look on his face. The other was white and had black patches on him. I don’t know how, but I felt like I knew them. They called me their brother, but they were much older than the siblings I knew.

The white cat turned to the mean cat and told him to go find Dad. I wasn’t sure who Dad was, but the mean kitty left to go find them. “Don’t worry little brother,” said the white cat, “Dad will take good care of you.”

A while later, the mean looking cat returned, but he was not alone. I assumed this was “Dad”, but I could not see them. I then felt some very large paws pick me up, and a voice which I did not understand. The mean kitty then nuzzled his head against mine and said “It’s okay brother. You’re going to be okay. This is a very nice human. He took care of us when we were younger, and he’ll take care of you too.”

It was then that I realized that though he looked mean, he was actually a very nice cat, and I knew that this person called “Dad” was nice too.

Dad took me home and introduced me to my new siblings. Some were like me, and some were like Dad. But even when I was able to see again, I could not find the white and mean cats. I did not see them, but I could still feel their presence. They had saved me, and helped me to find my home.

Once, I was lost. But now, I am found.
