it's kinda feeling like being a disabled person in america is a death sentence. i cannot work at all and depend upon disability payments. when america gets worse, i have no where to go. i am considered a drain on resources by practically every option people talk about. before, my biggest concern was if I was gonna find a therapist. now I'm stuck with the fact that I will likely be forced to suffer and die with this country as I am labeled as less than worthless.
sorry to be a bummer here but i don't see people talking about people like me in their "get out while you can" stuff. I dont expect you to have any answers but maybe the people who see your posts do.
if this counter turns out to be counting down to something that will never happen, what am I supposed to do?
Firstly, I want to say yet again that in regards to “what if you’re counting down to something that never happens”, and I will say this as many times as I have to in order to keep us all from killing ourselves,
They will NOT get a third term.
Even if by some astronomical, impossible scenario they managed to swing some imaginary court case to get the pretend ground they needed to maybe get a third term, does any part of you REALLY believe they’re going to live long enough to see it?
Anyway. With that basic reassurance out of the way, back to the actual real substance of your question here. Let’s not focus so much on their imaginary third term and focus on the very real damage they’re doing and will continue to do during the remainder of their second (and final) term. You’re absolutely right, it does feel like there’s no good way out of this for a disabled person. My position is very fortunate so my advice isn’t very good in this regard.
For right now, take use of the resources you do have while you have them, ration your supplies when they get cut off, and be ready to bunker down when you have to for the next 1,254 days. Chat, what do we think?
