Today, I went to SMTown live in my country. Although I am not a SM stan, and although I was seated really far from both the main and extended stages, I am still very thankful that I was able attend such an event. Being able to see exo, shinee, fx, kangta, snsd, boa, suju and most importantly, dbsk LIVE.
Im not a huge SM stan as mentioned, but overall I really enjoyed the concert. It was just good to see all of them perform live in front of my eyes, reminding me that they live their dreams, and that we should not fear to live ours too.
Exo: I couldnt even put their names to all their faces so let's just skip this part although they put up good performances! There was a performance of Maxstep though, from the YOONIQUE Unit. It was really short though.
Kangta: I think he only sang like 2-3 songs as far I could remember. And I didn't know what they were too T.T
Shinee: It was good to see them. Onew's my fave member. I felt really happy when I could sing along to their hit songs like Ring ding dong, Lucifer, and a few others. Jonghyun reminded me of Taeyang though, he seemed like he love stripping on stage. He had a really good body though, better than youngbae's, considering the fact that I saw youngbae in Alive tour 1-2 months back. Jonghyun had really really nice arms. That amazed me. But he and taemin had this performance which they had really close interactions. Just that they didnt kiss. Im sure you all would know which is it. I cannot remember the name of the song because I dont know that song. Im sure you all would know though. It was quite sick when I saw it because I didn't see Shinee in that way before. Maybe because I dont really watch them often. But I do know Jonghyun likes skinship though, I think. Hehe. Best of all I loved that they performed Juliette because it was my favourite song. Good news for all shinee fans; they'd be coming for shinee world tour in dec!!!
BOA: I was so happy she performed Number 1 and Only one and Hurricane Venus. Seeing her made me really happy because she was really pretty. The only part that was a pity was that during Only One performance, her dance partner was some guy from EXO, probably Luhan? I wished it was either Yunho or Eunhyuk though. I really like YunBoa.
SNSD: Omg these girls were amazing & when they spoke in english their voices were so sweet even though they just introduced themselves except for tiffany, seohyun and sica. I thought sunny's hair was really cute though. Bowlcut in lilac. Reminded me of GD's hair in MONSTER MV. I used to dislike SNSD but after I watched them for a longer time it became "girls who noone can hate" / "how can anyone dislike these girls" because they are just so sweet and cute. They performed genie which was one of the songs I really liked and they also performed hits like GEE, The Boys, Taxi and a few other hits which I can't really remember but when they appeared on stage the screen had all these hearts it reminded me of power puff girls. It was just so cute. Tiffany was really pretty. She's my favourite member. Yoona was really pretty as well though! The rest looked stunning as well just like how they would come out on TV. I was also really happy when TaeTiSeo performed twinkle. I really liked that song.
fx: I WAS SO HAPPY TO SEE AMBER. AMBER AMBER AMBER. My girl crush. She was so hot and her hair was tied to the back in a small ponytail. All I was looking at was Amber the whole time because she was just really really hot. She was really cute and she took my breath away. Krystal's another one of my girl crush. That chic image of hers which I really like. But the main point is AMBER. AMBER AMBER AMBER. Amber why are you so hot. They performed Hot Summer although I missed it because I was a little late. It was the opening song. My favourite. But I was still glad I saw Amber live. Oh Amber.
Suju: Oh suju. I was so glad to see them also. I love them so much. It was so good seeing all of them again although I saw them once during SS3. It was good to see kangin. I cheered for him. I wished he was the old kangin which was so fearless. He seems really toned down now. They performed Superman. One of my favourite favourite songs. Super Junior, The last man standing! I was so happy when they greeted the fans in korean with the "we are superjunior~o~eh~o" thing. I love when they do it. It makes me happy. Proud to be elf. Eunhae performed Oppa Oppa which I really love because it was so cute and Eunhyuk called himself Anchovy when he did the "I say myeolchi, you say Oppa" part. He also self proclaimed as the leader for now! It was so cute. But sorry Eunhyuk, you'd have to beat our dearest Teukie to that! They performed Bonamana which reminded me of Heechul so much because that was when I started falling in love with suju and Heechul was the reason. He is my favourite member. Even till now. And I missed him when they sang Bonamana because in the song there was a part where heechulie would sing first then the next line would be Teuk's. Gosh I miss teuk too. To me suju doesnt feel right when any member's not there. Especially their leader. I miss heechul too because as you know he's my favourite member. It felt really empty to me somehow but I know suju is working even harder now to fill in the spaces for the members who were not present. I miss siwon though. He couldnt make it due to his drama filming. It is such a pity. I really love suju. Seeing them again reminded me of how much I love them. Heechul and Teukie, I really hope to see you guys on stage soon again! My favourite 83line. I hope you both are doing well serving the nation.
Lastly and most importantly,
My favourite DBSK. The main reason why I went. It just felt amazing to even see changmin and yunho not to mention hear them sing. Seeing Yunho always reminds me of that scar on his face. It always made me cringe. I wonder why they use tvxq more now. I thought they always used dbsk? Correct me if Im wrong. My friend was so awed by changmin singing live. No doubt he has a really good voice. The first time changmin appeared was when he sang Just the way you are with Kyuhyun. I was so happy even to see him. He made me smile. That smile he always had. They performed past hits like Purple Line, Rising Sun. A part of me fell apart when they performed mirotic. To me mirotic was the song which reminded me of dbsk the most. Why? Because it reminded me of jyj. How tvxq used to be 5. The huge stage felt so empty with only the 2 of them standing there despite the backup dancers. Tears welled up in my eyes and I was fighting hard to keep them back as they performed the song. I missed dbsk as 5 so much. Until I saw changmin smile suddenly halfway then it occured to me that I shouldnt be tearing because I know yunho and changmin are still fighting hard trying their very best to keep the name dbsk, and to fill in the empty spots of jaejoong junsu and yoochun. Then I smiled. Because at that moment I felt how hard they were working for this. Even still a part of me cringed inside because I really really really wished for dbsk to be 5. But both tvxq and jyj are happy now. So Im happy too. And I believe on the route to success they will meet each other again. And I can't wait for that to happen. Because in my heart tvxq will always live as 5. I cheered for them so loudly. My favourite. They performed catch me, keep your head down and other songs. I was just really happy to be there, with them, with all the other cassies present, supporting our favourite dbsk. Go dbsk!!! I will always support you. All 5 of you.
All in all I was just really thankful to be there, to see some of my favourite kpop idols perform live right in front of my eyes and the rain didn't dampen the mood. Although Im not a SM stan, I really found the concert enjoyable. Just being able to be there and watch the concert itself was really amazing.
But best of all, I got to see dbsk. Another half strike off my bucket list because I have yet to see jyj live. It was still really really good to see changmin and yunho though. I think that's what made me the happiest tonight. The colour red will always shine in my heart.
It was such an amazing experience.
